Our Impact

We had an amazing experience at Turaka! My kids absolutely loved the half-term holiday program. It was a fantastic way for them to connect with their culture and strengthen their identity. They particularly enjoyed learning about drums, dancing, beading, and exploring African music and languages. We’re already looking forward to the next holiday program for kids!

We booked Abuke to design outfits for my family of four, including a birthday outfit for my baby’s first birthday and she really did go over and above!!! The outfits were absolutely exquisite!!!! From the material to the beads, to referring me to an amazing cake maker; honestly you would think she was catering for her own child. My daughters attended the turaka kids half term creative session. They absolutely loved it, and enjoyed the folklore stories, beads making, painting, african drumming, and mostly the hot puff puff they had for snacks. I was really glad to have an avenue where my kids could experience the depths of the african culture, I would definitely recommend and would happily sign my kids to more sessions in future.
